and was released from the hospital with cysts in her brain. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Kiley can not crawl, stand or walk unassisted. One of her main issues is core strength. Kiley does horse therapy, among other therapies, to strengthen her core muscles. We hit a rough patch in being able to pay for the horse therapy, since it is not covered by insurance.
We thought we were going to have to pull her out of it. Thanks to the Mr. Strong foundation she was able to continue her horse therapy without a break in sessions. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the application process was. Everyone I worked with was so helpful. Thank you again Mr. Strong foundation for being there for our little girl.”

Yuridia is a 7 year old sweet little girl with cerebral palsy who has been receiving therapy at our clinic since she was 3 years old. Her parents have always been very diligent with keeping her appointments and are very appreciative for the therapy she receives. They have inquired in the past about doing Intensive Therapy utilizing the TheraSuit Method with us but they could never afford it. When we heard about the Mr. Strong Foundation we offered to do a TheraSuit session at a discounted rate if the parents would apply for a scholarship through the Mr. Strong Foundation. We assisted the parents with filling out the application and were very happy when it was approved. The parents were overwhelmed with joy and Yuridia was able to complete 3 weeks of intensive therapy. She has gained much needed strength and control and her communication increased as well. We are all very grateful for the work and mission of the Mr. Strong Foundation!

“Our son, Jack, is four years old and has Down syndrome. Jack is non-verbal and participates in speech, occupational, and physical therapy through the local school system. 
Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover ANY therapies for Jack, so he is left without any therapies to continue his progress during the summer. We applied for a grant through the Mr. Strong Foundation and the money has allowed us to have a therapist come to the house during the summer to work with Jack. He has made wonderful progress with this therapist and we would never have been able to afford the therapy without the help of the Mr. Strong Foundation. Thanks to their assistance, Jack will be more than ready to pick up where he left off last school year and has even surpassed several goals that were written last school year. We are extremely grateful for the Mr. Strong Foundation for helping us provide for our son.

This therapy is a rigorous and intensive 3 week program which helps children with poor balance and weak muscles, improving body and spatial awareness, speech production and its fluency; as well as coordination and gait pattern. This treatment was life changing for our son.
Not only did we see a huge improvement in balance and coordination, but he was able to pull himself into his highchair and car seat by himself, which was impossible to do before he did the program. It has helped him gain more independent and correct a lot of poor postural issues due to weak muscles and delayed gross motor planning skills.
